Wow, I haven't been here in a long time.   I am in an office in Santa Clara doing nothing...yeah and getting paid for it.  I miss my friends.  Last night Joe and Matt came over just to hang out, but we were all so tired we were falling asleep in my living room...and poor Matt still had to drive home and then get up around 5:45 to drive to seaside to work for 10 hours...eeeek.  Pobrecito.

I got a phone  call from Colorado...yeah , but it was short because i had company.  Yesterday I also got to talk to my roommate for next year, Helen Shi, and write a letter to my roommate from last year, Kerry Lee.

I am so excited to be going back to school, but not excited to be living in the library .  I like college without the project and finals deadlines.  I love Stanford and the Stanford people.

We are going to be holding Bible Sudy in Florence More West...contact me for information...it's going to be awesome !!!!

I have been babysitting a lot...Parents have the hardest job in the world.  I love my kids though, they are awesome.

I am listening to NPR right now...yeah "writing for the radio class"...PWR 2 with Jonah Willhngranz.

Ciao i miei belli amici

In His Grace,

Jess

Hey yall what's up.  Tonight was Gospel Choir Extravaganza!!!  It was awesome!!!!  I performed with the dance ministry group Vessels of Light, i am a vol.  Scripture:

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 (NKJ)  For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.   But we have this treasure in these earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

The whole room of Kresge got 'crunk' and praised the Lord!!! Shout out to Ashley H, Ashley M, Allen, David, Alicia, and Rashida, my fellow VOLs.  My parents came, but had to leave cuz they weren't use to the late hours i stay up.  Carlton came in, yeah basketball players at GCE, but Fred is his suite mate, so that may have been the reason...Fred is the choir director by the by.

I have a lot of homework.  Lots of papers, lots of research...very interesting, but so little time and who gave them permission to wake up one morning to change all their deadlines to my dead week...that's what final week is for, grrrrr.  Hmm ya it is late, i played basketball till 2in the morning sat morning. yeah, went for volleyball, found basketball, so i was able to break in my knee to it!!!!  It was fun and i could actually play well.

Love songs...grr they play with my heart strings and mess with my emtional mind and black out all rationality.

I just took a survey for Loretta's Psych paper...i cannot analyze myself ..so hard.  It's hard to comment on yourself.  Also i am analytical so the interview took like FOR-E-VER (say it like the kid in sandlot).

Michael Jackson is awesome, so is Usher, so is Third Day....i just love music...and singing--sorry for those of you who have to listen to me.  Dance boogie down...well i best be off to bed got get up in 7 hours for church, then ill be playin music for the baseball game, and workin' interviewin' and mark study!!!!  yeah IV peeps.  Prayers out to all at Mosaic, hope God is movin'!!!!!!!!!

Yeah i performed a dance on stage and didn't run off like when i was Five, and was "graceful" who'da thought?  K love to all and to the one I live to praise!!

Wow, i am really bad at keepin' up with this, but i thought this would be a good day...why you ask?  Well as many of my beautiful family under God have reminded my, it's my birthday!!!!  19th to be exact.  Yes 19 years..YEARS...wow...ago my mom was suffering to bring me into this world to fulfill some divine plan..so exciting...whether it's to make someone laugh one day they are down or travel the world...what an exciting time.  My mom is awesome!!!

Anway hmm voicemails from mom, grandie, joe, lisa, elliot, jamie and the MVC basketball team, mom again...talked to dad and steph, then attacked by emails, IM's, and dormmates...not only is God a constant provider of encouragement through his children he also gives beautiful days.  Sun shining, clear skies, warm rays against my back, fresh air resulting from yesterday's storm.  Wow is all i can say...oh and i am listening to Michael Jackson right now...i like his songs, i have never heard some of these before!!!

My mom showed up and brought me clean laundry!!! and a chocolate cake (my precious my precious...j/k...you want some, hurry come and get it).  We had fun laughing and taking dorky pictures...we are both dorks you know...good 'ol Lira's, i love my family so blessed so blessed.  "double spaced" lol hehe hahaha

Oh and my dad was talking to me in the bathroom or something...i think he was remodeling it or something, but the conversation was like talking to someone in a tunnel.."HAPPY...Happy...happy....BIRTHDAY..Birthday...birthday!!!!!  I love you dad thank you for everything...esp for talking to me in a tunnel

Well i am writing a research paper on gangsta rap and inner-cities and stereotypes....but i need books and journals and research so i have to do that, on my birthday yes, i know it's sad, but it has to be done!!!!  I will reconvene for birthday celebration and cake later and sneak out to volleyball until 1230am!!!!

Thank you all who are there for me.. I love you guys sooo much you are awesome.  You light up my life, it's impossible to frown when y'all are around!!!!

Yeah thus begins my last year as a teen...even though 19 seems so ugly, God+you+me=an amazing year!!!!

PS 2/16/04--2 year anniversary for broken wrist    2/18/04--4 year anniversary for my mom's broken wrist (yeah snowboarding)   2/20/04---1 year anniversary torn ACL, meniscus, and strained MCL.........see a common theme.....pray for this week!!!!!

ooooo Firday the 13th, 9:15pm and no black cats or ladders.  I was introduced to my future job of playing music at our Stanford Baseball games!!! and we beat Kansas 7-1 woohoo!!!

Ya and stats is weird but I met a cool girl from Chicago named Donna.

Joe Owens came and visited me from CAL today before going home and took me out to lunch at CPK (california pizza kitchen) for my birthday on Wednesday!!!  Roasted Garlic Chicken, and then we bought one for the people chillin' on the street in the palo alto misty drizzle.  Ya that was exciting because i jumped out of the car at a stop light, ran onto the sidewalk gave people the pizza and then ran down University Avenue, following the car and ran and jumped in when it finally came to a stop at a stoplight..i think Joe was a little embarrassed.  But his mom was cool about it!!

Hmm ya i got to sleep today, well actually i passed out and missed Ultimate Frisbee and part of the baseball game.

My roomate is cool, we are so pop-culturally illiterate!!!  But we still rock.

hmm Valentine's day tomorrow...ya about that...well i will be picnic-ing in the oval if it doesnt rain with IV peeps!!!

Well volleyball at 10-1230 adios

LOVE~
